Electricity Bill Estimator
Enter your units and (editable) slab rates to estimate the bill with a slab-by-slab breakdown.
Why rates are editable
Electricity tariffs differ by distribution company, change with fuel adjustments, and protected/non-protected categories pay different rates. Take the per-unit rates from your last bill for an accurate estimate — the defaults are rough placeholders only. The estimate also excludes fixed charges, TV fee and slab-benefit rules that some utilities apply.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't this match my bill exactly?
Utilities add fixed charges, fuel price adjustments, TV fees and apply slab-benefit rules that vary by company and month. Enter rates from your own bill for the closest estimate.
How can I reduce my bill?
Staying below slab boundaries (like 200 or 300 units) can significantly cut the rate applied. Also see our Solar Cost calculator for going solar.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is this?
It uses the slab rates you enter, so it's as accurate as those rates. Update the per-slab rates to match your latest bill.
Why is my bill higher than units × rate?
Bills use progressive slabs — higher usage moves you into costlier tiers, plus taxes and fixed charges not shown here.
